For those of us who have beloved relatives buried at the Catholic Cemetry,Riam Road, would know that getting there for All Souls' Day is  quite an ordeal, in terms of the poor condition of the access road & the place being big & swampy especially after a heavy rain. Each time I went there,I would use  the backyard of somebody's house at Taman Chung Seng to get to my father's grave beacause it is so near. Just a spandek wall fencing to divide the dead & the living/residents of Taman Chung Seng.. But beware, using the jalan tikus has its risks beacause the ground is full of broken glasses, rusty pieces of zinc, slippery &  swampy. You need to wear shoes instead of slippers, preferably boots. The graves are very close to each other & one cannot help/avoid having to step on "them" as we go from one tomb to the next. After much heavy rain last night, some part of the cemetry was flooded/swampy especially in the low lying area.

This afternoon Jeff & I went to  visit my late dad's grave & from there I prayed aloud for all relatives who were buried there..too many of them for me to go to each tomb. Besides my dad,my maternal grandparents & paternal grandma & scores of uncles, aunties, other cousins , relatives and not forgetting friends,  were also buried there. I could only remember them in my prayers.

Amen.
